Something Radical

In 2023, I embarked on a journey that would change the course of my life. I made the bold decision to step away from my 9-5 job, driven by a desire to carve out space for something more meaningful - freedom, flexibility, and pure enjoyment. Little did I know, this decision would lead me down a path filled with unexpected twists and turns, shaping my journey in ways I could have never imagined.

Initially, I had every intention of re-entering the workforce by the first quarter of 2024. However, as March drew to a close, I found myself increasingly frustrated with myself for a myriad of things but the one that was most profound was; drafting a plan that was not in alignment with what I truly wanted. 

You see, I had meticulously mapped out my future - striving to reach certain financial milestones, secure my home, and build a nest egg. Yet, amidst all these goals, my true aspiration was to unlock a life filled with the freedom to help people to connect with themselves, while still savoring the joys of parenthood and self-discovery.

Throughout my 15+ year career in operations, I had climbed the proverbial professional ladder, driven by a sense of duty rather than passion. I filled roles out of necessity, not because they ignited a fire within me. While my adventurous spirit propelled me forward with a "why not" attitude, it eventually led me to a place of burnout and discontent.

The burnout I realized stemmed from my lack of boundaries and was rooted in fear. It became clear that I needed to pivot, to realign my path with my innermost desires and values. Drawing upon my spiritual journey, life experiences, and professional insights, I made the radical decision to shed the layers of identity that no longer served me. I chose to embrace a life rooted in fulfillment - one defined by quality time with loved ones, the authentic expression of my true self, and the healing of my inner child.

Leaving behind the confines of my job, I embarked on a new chapter dedicated to living boldly and inspiring others to do the same. My journey is not just about pursuing personal fulfillment; it's about encouraging others to embrace their own versions of radicalism, to redefine success on their own terms, and to rediscover the joy of living life authentically.
